• looks like hard drive to computer, i.e. plays nice with ANY OS.

• minimum 1 gig of storage, no need for more than 40 (there's no way I would want to put my entire music collection on a portable player, entirely to much to sort through.)


• thick credit card/floppy disc/cell phone in size


• display file tags


• directory tree and playlist play options


• random play, repeat, and repeat all options


• simple sturdy design/look/feel/aesthetic


• hold switch
