I first heard the Rock and Roll Doctor on Dr. Demento's radio show. Okay, a recording of the show, not live. I think it's still funny and applicable today, but I did start to think about what the Rock and Roll doctor would have to deal with today. There's a clip on this page if you haven't heard the song. Anyway, it turns out that the original appears on the Travesty Ltd. album Teen Comedy Party. "To this day the men of Travesty get royalty checks from Rhino Records."
Apparently others, inluding Cher and Black Sabbath, have done there own Rock and Roll Doctor songs.
