You may find religion helpful in your path, and since buddhism is not a religion this may be a good idea for most people. I found that religion often gives people a more accessable and everyday kind of practical moral gauge. Stay away from any religion cooked up by drunk cowboys or fiction novelist, especially science fiction novelists.
Scientology is not a path to enlightenment or any greater understanding/unity with the universe and creation. It seems to me that Lafayette Ronald Hubbard is nothing but a manipulative fascist with fantasies of global domination. Am I Fair Game now?
